CONTEXT

All labour market participants have a role in effectively developing, utilising, motivating and rewarding New Zealand’s workforce. The Department can help participants work together for better labour market outcomes by providing relevant and meaningful labour market information and advice. We will do this by developing our labour market performance and information function.

CONTRIBUTING MEDIUM-TERM GOALS

Knowledge and understanding of labour market dynamics and drivers enables those involved in the labour market to make informed decisions about what and how they can contribute.

Collaboration between labour market players across sectors and regions will enable strategies to be developed to address constraints and make the most of opportunities.
