Owen Harvey
Owen is a director and consultant for Innovation and Systems Ltd. He has an excellent knowledge of organisational development, change management, workplace productivity and the labour market. Over the past ten years his focus has expanded to include programme evaluation, and strategy formation, in regional and industry economic development.
Owen is an experienced facilitator, with extensive experience in adult education and learning processes, particularly in a workplace context. He also has considerable experience in case study and action research.
He has recently been involved in a project for FITEC to assess the contribution of people development to performance outcomes, in the wood industry. Owen was also part of the team evaluating the CTU’s Workplace Productivity Education Project, for the Department of Labour.
Owen was a member of the group commissioned by the Growth and Innovation Advisory Board to prepare the Smart Enterprises report, exploring the way in which national values and cultural attributes influence New Zealand workplaces. He was a member of the government’s Workplace Productivity Working Party, and an adviser to the Department of Labour’s Tripartite Productivity Reference Group.
Owen has also consulted to many public and private sector organisations (large and small) on a variety of strategic, structural, and productivity matters, and on workplace relationship issues.
