Courier fees, regardless of whether the application comes from the Philippines or mailed in from NZ, must be paid in cash. If the applicant calls the Philippines VAC (VIA Centre) to arrange for a courier to pick up the application, the 2-way courier fee (in cash) is collected by the courier company when they drop by for the applicant's documents. When the application is mailed to the VIA Centre, or dropped off in person, and the original documents are to be returned to an address in the Philippines, the courier collects Php200 upon delivery to the Philippine address.
Application fees and the service fee of Php500 must be paid by bank draft and can be included in one draft.
Can I use a pre-paid courier bag to have my documents returned to me?
If the application is mailed in from NZ, they can use any courier service they like to send it to our VIA Centre. Should they wish the documents to be returned to NZ, they will have to include a prepaid international courier at lodgement. If the application is being made from within the Philippines, they must arrange a courier through the VIA Centre. The VIA Centre will only accept applications sent through other couriers if the applicant's area is not serviceable by the VIA Centre's couriers.
