2013 Samoan Quota and Pacific Access Category

The 2013 Samoan Quota and Pacific Access Categories are now closed for registrations.

When was the registration period?
 
The 2013 Samoa Quota (SQ) and the Pacific Access Category (PAC) registration period was from 1 – 30 April 2013.

When will the registration draw take place?

The ballot draw for SQ and PAC will take place on Friday 7 June 2013.

The Samoan Quota will be drawn in Apia at the New Zealand High Commission Building.

The Pacific Access Category (Nuku’alofa, Kiribati and Tuvalu) ballot will be drawn at the Nuku’alofa Branch.

Where will the PAC and SQ registrations be processed?

Registration forms for Samoan Quota (INZ 1086) will be processed at Palmerston North Branch.
 
Registration forms for PAC (INZ 1092) from Tongan clients will be processed at Nuku’alofa Branch.
 
Registrations forms for PAC (INZ 1092) from Kiribatian and Tuvaluan clients will be processed at Suva Branch.
 
All registrants will be notified by text or email to acknowledge the receipt of their registration application.

How will people registered for SQ or PAC find out their ballot number?

Clients registering for the quota ballot will be sent a text message or email confirming their ballot number.

These emails and text messages will be sent out prior to the ballots being drawn.

How will people find out the results of the PAC and SQ Ballots?

Successful SQ and PAC registration numbers will be displayed at:

  • Pacific Branches in Auckland, Suva, Tonga and Samoa;
  • The Tuvalu High Commission in Suva, and the Tuvalu Department of Labour;
  • The New Zealand High Commission Kiribati and the Kiribati Department of Labour.
  • The New Zealand Immigration website.
  • Some Pacific newspapers will publish the successful PAC and SQ registration numbers. 
  • The list will also be available in some Banks and Post Offices in the Pacific.

When successful registrants received their ITAs?

Those successful in the ballots will be posted an Invitation To Apply (ITA) letter and an application pack by 12 July 2013.

How many places are available under the Samoan Quota and Pacific Access Category?

  • Samoa (1100)
  • Tonga (250)
  • Kiribati (75)
  • Tuvalu (75)
  • Fiji is still excluded from participating in the PAC.
