This factsheet reports key labour market information for females for the year to March 2012. All employment data is sourced from the Household Labour Force Survey released quarterly by Statistics New Zealand.

In the year to March 2012, 1,782,700 females were aged 15 years and over, of whom 62.6% were in the labour force while 37.4% were not in the labour force, due to such reasons as child rearing, retirement or studying.
