Mark McGinn
Mark has more than 20 years experience in line management and consulting positions, across both the public and private sectors.
Before becoming a consultant in his own practice, he worked in senior management and supervisory roles within the justice and welfare sectors of the public service.
He is an experienced and qualified behavioural analyst, and trains people on how to effectively select and coach staff and managers. A strategic human resource consultant, he specialises in delivering quality people assessments, using a framework of emotional and management intelligence competencies.
As a strategic HR advisor to the Department of Courts, Mark facilitated a remuneration policy and system as part of the Partnership for Quality between the Courts and the PSA.
His knowledge of employment law is always valued by his clients, and he has provided cost effective training to managers and staff in this area, as well as advice and representation on all aspects of disciplinary and dismissal processes.
His consulting practice focuses on industry, although he has significant experience in the financial, health, education and public sectors. He works with an eclectic mix of public and private sector clients, ranging from the Canterbury District Health Board, the University of Canterbury and the Christchurch City Library, to Fairfax Media, Donaghys, (agriculture sector) and Wellnomics Limited (IT sector).
